Beta-carotene is one of many components the body needs to function properly. Beta-carotene converts into vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is a very important nutrient the body requires for various functions. The value of fruits should not be forgotten as a very high supplier of beta-carotene. Sometimes it is not enough.
