It’s not vitamins themselves which are dangerous, but the process and ingredients that make up certain multi-vitamin supplements. In certain cases though, high doses of vitamins can be cause adverse effects. Recent research published in the American Medical Association has shown that diabetics who supplement high doses of vitamin B can increase the risk for heart attacks or strokes.

Many low quality vitamin supplements are dangerous as they contain synthetic vitamins and fillers, such as magnesium stearate. It may sound good as a vitamin, but it’s in fact chalk – the type used on a blackboard. In excess, it can cause a lot of problems for your digestive tract.

Does this mean that all multi-vitamin or vitamin products are bad for you? Well, not exactly; it depends on the quality of the vitamin supplements in question. It also depends on how much extra vitamins and nutrients you are taking. An excess of vitamins at best is a waste of money, and at worse it can seriously affect your health. Where there is a lack of vitamins, a good multivitamin will help to keep your body working in optimal conditions. Taking more than is required in excess hasn’t been shown to improve results, compared to taking the recommended amount.

Since most of us do lack some form of vitamins and minerals, it can be difficult to fit them into our daily diet. That’s where a good multi-vitamin made from quality ingredients would be beneficial. A good natural multivitamin like Angel Wings on the other hand, provides a well balanced amount of many different vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and amino acids in a good ratio.

It’s important to opt for a good quality daily multivitamin as many of them out there are made from poor ingredients. Using a multivitamin that only isolates some random vitamins is as good as not using one at all. A good multivitamin like Angel Wings contains a well balanced ratio of vitamins which work well together, as well as with your diet. Multivitamins aren’t a way to get all of your daily requried vitamins in tablet form – they should be used as a convenient way to supplement any missing vitamins from your daily diet.
