Foods to Help Cleanse Your Colon

The main thing required for a clean colon and to keep you regular is a high fiber diet. Eating only foods with high fat or high protein such as meats, cheese, or general foods without a lot of fiber in them can slow down regular bowel movements. This also leads to constipation. A lack of fluid or water can also cause constipation. If you’re not drinking enough water in your diet, your food won’t have anything to help it move through your digestive system.
Sometimes it can be difficult to incorporate these high fiber foods into your diet, and that’s where a high fiber supplement comes into play. A good supplement like Colon Cleanser provides the fiber your body needs through natural ingredients such as aloe vera and acai. It’s an excellent supplement for cleaning your colon and removing toxins in a natural and healthy way.
Fruits
Fruits are very high in fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, and antioxidants. Fruits are also low relatively low in calories for the amount of fiber they contain. Apples, blueberries, pears, oranges, and limes are all great additions to any diet lacking in fiber.
Vegetables
Vegetables are also high in fiber and other vitamins and nutrients which help to cleanse the colon. Whether you like your vegetables broiled, grilled, or even in a drink, they all serve the same purpose. Broccoli, eggplant, tomatoes, and other leafy vegetables are all great additions to every meal.
Beans
Beans such as kidney beans, soybeans, pinto beans, chickpeas, and split peas are all very high in fiber. They help to reduce bloating, gas and constipation, as well as improving digestion. Although beans also contain (healthy) fat, the high fiber content in them still helps to keep the colon clean.
Water
As mentioned, water helps to transport your food during digestion through your digestive tract. Drinking your daily recommended 8 glasses of water every day is a good goal. Water is not only good for cleansing your colon, but also helps with metabolism, detoxification, and transporting nutrients.
Tea
Hot teas such as green tea contain lots of antioxidants and are great for cleaning the colon and improving bowel functions. Green tea is especially popular as it is high in antioxidants as well as vitamin C, which helps to remove toxins from the body. In general, peppermint tea, senna leaf, flaxseed or other type of herbal tea will work just as well as a colon cleanser.
